Nikos Mesaritis founded the firm in 1977 in collaboration with associates of civil engineering and interior design. The partnership of architects and engineers has been in operation under the name POLYTIA Armos since 1993. Today, POLYTIA Armos is one of the leading architecture practises in Cyprus. The overall objective of the firm is to provide to the user a strong, visionary and thoroughly framed design adapted to the specific context.

The partnership has a core staff of its own which has always been characterized by curiosity and vision. In addition, the firm has an extensive network of local and international associates. The strong reputation of POLYTIA Armos was created due to its broad experience in projects with differing requirements from architectural competitions, public and office buildings, restoration of traditional buildings to masterplans and urban spaces. Among the first and most important competitions won by POLYTIA Armos was the Municipal Hall of Paralimni in 1981, the Municipal Hall of Agia Napa in 1985 and the Cyprus Airways Central Offices in 1989.

Meeting todays multi discipline demands, POLYTIA Armos offers a wide range of intergrated design, management and planning services. The Cyprus Telecommunications Authority's Centre and Paphos Waterfront Regeneration are projects which represent the valuable relation of the firm and Cyprus public sector.

Many students and young architects have found their way to POLYTIA Armos. They have taken part in creating an innovative, dynamic environment in the office where new ideas and new knowledge always play an essential role.
